Here is a little NOTE to you:
Ask anyone who has been struggling to achieve a healthy weight and lifestyle. They’ll tell you that it's not an easy thing to do, mainly because there is a huge difference between knowing WHAT to do and ACTUALLY DOING it.

There is no magic pill, no secret technique or approach that can solve this problem for you. It will take time, hard work and persistence to get yourself where you want to be. But there are several things you can do that can make all that hard work a little easier and greatly improve your chances of success.

Team Beachbody has a plan that is designed to give you the tools you need to identify, work through, and overcome the most common emotional and mental (attitude) problems that people face when they set out to change their lifestyles.

In October of 2002 I draw the line when my weight was 235 lbs. I lost 90 lbs down with Team Beachbody. If you can conceive the perfect body image in your mind, you can achieve it. No matter what your health or fitness goal is! Mine was to be a 100 Pound Club Member, and feel good about it!

My Transformation Story:

What PUSHED/MADE me to lose the unwanted pounds:

In 1998 I became pregnant with our son. I nearly had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and my doctor put me on progesterone medication to help keep the pregnancy. The medication resulted in me gaining up to 8 lbs a week. I stayed on the medication throughout most of the pregnancy. Soon after my son was born, I was pregnant again. Both pregnancies were difficult. After all was done, I had gained 108 lbs. I was devastated. As my kids were getting bigger, I kept telling myself: “You need to loose the baby fat!”

Although I hadn't been formerly diagnosed with any medical problems (yet), I had a lot of issues that I knew were caused by my extra weight — low energy, poor muscle strength, difficulty sleeping, and more. My job required that I visit construction sites, stairs up and down carrying a bucket, uneven ground levels, and sometimes spend most of my day on my knees or on a ladder, all presented problems for me. I struggled to play with my kids, and my weight was even affecting my personal life.

I went to my family doctor for a “magic pill”. His response was enough said to me that I decided then that it was time to do something about it. And it all starts with ME.

My WINNING Strategy to be a better ME:

On October 27th 2002, I took my life back. I pulled the Power 90 package off the shelf, where it has been laying for nearly a year, never opened. Tony said, “Set a Goal for yourself”, and I picked a picture of me from 7 years ago. I just wanted to look like “me” again. I knew deep within me, the feelings of confidence I once had, and that is all I wanted back. My journey had begun.
Included in the P90 materials was a simple easy to follow diet guide. I started by following Michi's Ladder along with calorie and nutrient recommendations. I quickly discovered that my poor eating habits were strongly related to my weight gain. For example, I would stop for a double cheeseburger "snack" while running errands, even though I'd had lunch just an hour before or taking chocolate covered peanuts to bed for a bedtime snack.

I set up a plan to break those habits by budgeting my calories into three meals and three snacks each day. Snacks were primarily fruit, and I added more whole grains to my diet. I also started reading the nutritional information on food labels and in restaurants so that I could make informed choices. I recommend tracking food on a daily basis, use the Club tools and learning as much as possible about your food choices before you eat them.

Before Team Beachbody, the only exercise I got was walking to and from the mailbox. I thought exercise was boring and hard to do, but I know that doing something is better than nothing! At 235 lbs overweight, I started walking and then pull out the P90 program. As my endurance and strength improved, I even began to enjoy it! Pounds starts to melt away. I set small little goals every week and NEVER looked at the big picture. My overriding strategy was that this was the final solution for me. There was no turning back because I believed that Team Beachbody was the answer.


How Team Beachbody Helped me:

I take full advantage of all of the resources that the Team Beachbody site has to offer. I track my fitness and nutrition daily with WOWY and my customised diet plan. I use the recipes, use the trackers and reads every email newsletter and article (sometimes twice!), and posts on the Message Boards. There is so many wonderful and supportive members at Team Beachbody that it’s hard NOT to feel motivated. I find the threads about motivation, fitness programs and weight loss tips to be the most helpful. I have learned with the help of Team Beachbody, a lot about myself, and with that knowledge, I’ve gained more self-confidence.
I am a Team Beachbody Club Member, a Coach and I love to help people help themselves overcome obstacles.
My Noticeable Improvements:

My total transformation since I started P90 in 2002 is 90 lbs. My body fat have dropped from 37 to 16%. I have lost a total of 39” from my hips, waist and chest. My BMI have dropped from 36.8 to a healthy 23.3. My jean size have dropped from 24 to a size 4.
I feel like a million bucks! I received numerous compliments from friends, customers and even strangers. I am a better tennis player now with more endurance at the end of a round. I smile more than ever and I'm finally not ashamed of taking pictures with my family anymore.

***I am so confident now that I can not only maintain this for the rest of my life, but continue to IMPROVE.***

My advice is to start slowly because too many people are looking for a quick fix. I would prefer that you look for a FINAL FIX, no matter how long it takes. Set realistic small little goals, keeping in mind that it took a long time to become out of shape and that it will take time to get back into shape and lose the weight. Everyone will have bad days and make mistakes, but the key is to learn from them and start fresh tomorrow. Making Team Beachbody a part of your daily routine will be the most important part of your success. Over the past few years our family USED Tony and the Kids, Turbo Jam, Hip Hob Abs, Power Half Hour, P90X (I try!) and Slim in 6. I personally prefer all Tony's workouts, and will always promote them!
