My Personal Bio:
Hi my name is Amy Hildreth and I was on Season 3 of NBC's The Biggest Loser. Over the past year and a half I have gone from not knowing or even caring about being healthy to it becoming absolute second nature to me! I have truly turned my life around and now it is my passion to share what I have learned with others. I am an ACE certified personal trainer based out of Omaha, Nebraska and I work specifically with people wanting to lose weight or maintain their already significant weight loss. I own a business called Reality Wellness with my fiance Marty Wolff (who was also a contestant on the show) and we do a lot of speaking engagements together as well. I simply want to help as many people as possible discover how much fuller their lives can be when they are fit and healthy!
I am so excited about Million Dollar Body because this is a site that can help people with the two most critical parts of a healthy lifestyle - Accountablity and Fun! If you are new to the community, please don't hesitate to contact me with questions. I am a real person with real results and I want to help you achieve results too!
My Transformation Story:
My life changed completely when I was chosen to be on The Biggest Loser. Before the show, I never knew what it was like NOT to be overweight. For as long as I could remember, I was shopping in plus size stores and trying to avoid exercise and healthy food. I was in denial for a long time about the person I really wanted to be - someone healthy and fit and active. I would daydream about hiking and biking on the weekends, playing tennis with friends and maybe even one day running a half marathon. It wasn't until going through The Biggest Loser process that I finally realized my true potential and that I WAS capable of all of those things, I just had to work at my goals every day to get there. In my eight months training for the show, I lost a total of 106 pounds and went from 49% body fat to 23% body fat. Most importantly however, I got in touch with my REAL motivations for losing the weight, which had more to do with feelings of self worth and accomplishment and actually very little to do with finally fitting into "regular" size clothing.
While I am so proud of the accomplishments I have made towards living a healthy lifestyle, I can stumble from time to time. I have learned the hard truth that weight maintenance will always be a never ending battle for me, and unless I have a strong support system in place, I can easily be obese again. Million Dollar Body provides that support and accountability I need as well as allows me to provide it for others! January 1st begins another new adventure for me in WOWY as I will be knocking off these extra holiday pounds. Come join me!
